This example of Xiao’s concept work uses research and experimentation with colours, texture and dimensions to create a playful, humerous collection that explores the concept of trompe l’oeil. Xiao’s work experiments with the feelings associated with seeing and being seen, harnessing the intimate relationship between footwear and body.
